My littles flew through first grade math lessons, and I believe we are ready to start on the second grade after the semester. However, they are not fluent in their addition and subtraction math facts yet. They can certainly figure them out while working through problems, but are not super fast with flashcards. Would you suggest slowing down and mastering all of those before starting level two math? Or, is it still building upon those concepts?
